What to Expect

We want your visit with us to be as stress free as possible. Here’s a little bit about what you can expect during your visit.

The Hearing Quiz

Hearing loss can happen gradually. This online quiz can help you decide if you are hearing less than you should be.

Hearing Tests

We provide a comprehensive battery of hearing evaluations and testing services for adults and children.

Hearing Aids

Hearing aids are a solution to a problem that millions of Americans face every single day; the inability to hear what they want to hear.

Pediatrics

Regardless of your child’s age, there are safe, effective and accurate tests that can be used to determine how well your child hears.

Tinnitus

Tinnitus is extremely common – nearly 36 million Americans have tinnitus.  More than half of the normal population has intermittent tinnitus.

A Caring Approach to Hearing Health

Your hearing needs are always unique to you. ABC Hearing has won awards partnering with people like you to analyze your hearing and then satisfy your specific problems that have interfered with your understanding and enjoyment of life.

1. Is there a link between hearing loss and age?

There is a strong relationship between age and reported hearing loss: 18 percent of American adults 45-64 years old, 30 percent of adults 65-74 years old, and 47 percent of adults 75 years old or older have a hearing loss.

2. Does exposure to loud noise impact your hearing?

Approximately 15 percent (26 million) of Americans between the ages of 20 and 69 have high frequency hearing loss due to exposure to loud sounds or noise at work or in leisure activities.

3. Is it possible to lose your hearing suddenly?

Approximately 4,000 new cases of sudden deafness occur each year in the United States. Hearing loss affects only 1 ear in 9 out of 10 people who experience sudden deafness. Only 10 to 15 percent of patients with sudden deafness know what caused their loss.

4. Who is the typical person suffering from tinnitus?

Of adults ages 65 and older in the United States, 12.3 percent of men and nearly 14 percent of women are affected by tinnitus. Tinnitus is identified more frequently in white individuals and the prevalence of tinnitus is almost twice as frequent in the South as in the Northeast.

5. How many adults could benefit from hearing aids?

Approximately 28.8 million adults in the United States alone could benefit from using hearing aids.
